£12M Boost to Expand Student Access to Degree Apprenticeships

by | 0 comments

The Office for Students (OfS) has confirmed it will invest £12 million to increase the number of Level 6 degree apprenticeship courses and places available in English higher education. This is the result of the first round of a competitive bidding process, as part of the OfS’s £40 million degree apprenticeships fund, which will provide support for 205 Level 6 degree apprenticeship programmes at 51 higher education providers. The successful universities and colleges will use the funding to accelerate programmes to:

  • Expand course provision at those already offering Level 6 degree apprenticeships
  • Increase the number of students on Level 6 degree apprenticeships
  • Increase equality of opportunity within Level 6 degree apprenticeships.
