Apprenticeship and Skills Minister Gillian Keegan has written to MPs to announce that the DfE will be introducing targeted financial relief measures for providers who hold direct contracts with the ESFA. This will not apply for levy contracts held between providers and employers. Analysis from FE Week shows that there are 1031 providers who only have access to levy funding so won’t be eligible for this relief measure. AELP’s response to the letter can be read here. The DfE has since confirmed that apprenticeships with small businesses funded via an employer transfer or that have recently transitioned onto the government’s digital system will not be eligible for supplier relief.
