The government has published statistics showing the uptake of the Coronavirus Jobs Retention Scheme (CJRS) and the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) across the UK’s regions and nations. The data shows that in England, more than 6.4 million jobs were furloughed up until 31 May and that just over 2 million claims on the SEISS in England has totalled nearly £6 billion.
