The government has announced a £1 billion package to support primary and secondary schools to tackle the impact of lost teaching time due to COVID-19. £650 million will be shared across state primary and secondary schools over the 2020/21 academic year. £350 million, will be used for a National Tutoring Programme to help up to two million of England’s most disadvantaged children to access to high-quality tuition over the 2020/21 academic year.
