ESFA’s Director for Apprenticeships has spoken about what might be part of the Prime Minister’s ‘apprenticeship guarantee’ proposal. He mentioned that employer incentives could be provided to make more starts available and that it would be necessary to have sufficient budgets to meet demand from small and medium sized businesses. He expected more to be revealed in the coming weeks. It was reported in the national press that employers could receive £300o for each apprentice recruited under 25.
