by | 0 comments

The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) has published a research report looking at perceptions and trends in apprenticeship training in the engineering construction industry following the reforms that led up to the introduction of the apprenticeship levy. The ECITB has made a number of recommendations to help improve apprenticeship recruitment and address skills shortages across the engineering construction workforce including better representation of apprenticeships by government and the mainstream media, improving diversity of the ECI workforce, more flexibility of the 20% off the job training and more alignment with the upcoming T Levels.  A summary of the key findings and recommendations can be read here.
