The ESFA has updated the apprenticeships coronavirus guidance publication to reflect:
- the announcement that a support service for redundant apprentices will be launching soon
- information about apprentices returning to onsite course delivery
- confirmation that from 13 July providers can welcome back 19+ apprentices into educational settings
- confirmation that where an apprentice has been made redundant, but is continuing their apprenticeship study, they can claim Universal Credit as long as they satisfy all eligibility criteria
- confirmation that the temporary flexibility suspending the funding rule requiring level 2 apprentices to study towards, and attempt, level 2 functional skills assessments has been extended until 31 December 2020.
