SCTP’s July Members’ Conference was held online on 16 July. Members were able to network with each other in small group networking sessions, discussing the opportunities and challenges for the sector following the announcements in the government’s Plan for Jobs, and also about the opportunities and challenges of online learning delivery. Members heard presentations from Anthony Horne from EMSI, who shared the latest labour market information and provided some insight into what the data is telling us about skills, economic recovery trends and growth post-COVID-19. We were also joined by Dr Richard Beynon from Ofsted who provided an update on Ofsted’s plans up until January 2021 and also detailed findings from their recent review of online learning during the COVID-19 period.
