The DfE has announced funding to support reception pupils with early speaking and language skills. This funding is part of the National Tutoring Programme to help pupils whose education has been disrupted by COVID-19. State funded schools with reception classes will be invited to apply for this support, with priority given to schools with a high proportion of disadvantage pupils.
