A reminder that the Education Select Committee’s inquiry into the impact of COVID-19 on education and children’s services is still open for evidence to be submitted. The inquiry is looking at how the outbreak of COVID-19 is affecting all aspects of the education sector and children’s social care system and will scrutinise how the Department for Education is dealing with the situation. They will look at the effect on apprenticeships and other workplace-based education, the financial implications for providers, the effect of cancelling formal exams and the support for students and families during closures.
