The Careers and Enterprise Company has published the results of a survey of businesses looking at the changes in the nature and culture of workplaces due to COVID-19 and how that is affecting the skills and qualities that employers will be looking for in young people. The majority of the businesses surveyed agreed that skills such as communication, self-motivation and the reliability to work remotely are now essential and that demand for digital and IT skills will increase due to the rise in online and virtual working.
