Kickstart Scheme Applications Top 65,000

The Work and Pensions Secretary has said that over 65,000 job placements have been bid for through the Kickstart scheme so far. A Kickstart Scheme application must be for a minimum of 30 job placements. If a single employer cannot provide this many job placements, a Kickstart gateway can act on their behalf and apply for a Kickstart scheme grant for them. The DWP has published a list of intermediaries who can support employers to apply for a Kickstart scheme grant. SCTP members who are acting as Kickstart intermediaries are able to share details of their offer via the SCTP LinkedIn members group. If you’d like to share details of your offer on the group, please contact vanessapotter@sctp.org.uk.
Justin Tomlinson, minister for disabled people, has published an article urging employers to offer Kickstart opportunities for disabled young people.
