The government has announced that the National Retraining Scheme has been integrated with the government’s new £2.5 billion National Skills Fund. It has published a key findings paper which outlines the evidence it gathered whilst developing the National Retraining Scheme, including trialling the Get Help to Retrain service with adults in six areas of the country, providing local labour market information through live job vacancies. It also covers how they will use this evidence to inform the National Skills Fund and other adult skills services. Comment on the news can be read here.
