AS, A level & GCSE 2021 Exams to be Held Three Weeks Later than Usual

The DfE has announced that exams for AS, A levels and GCSEs will be held 3 weeks later in 2021 to give students more time to prepare. The planned dates for the summer exam series will start on 7 June and end on 2 July for almost all AS and A levels and GCSEs. It has stated that it expects that for the majority of vocational and technical qualifications that are taken alongside or instead of GCSEs, AS and A levels, awarding organisations will look to align timetables with 2021 exams. The Education Secretary has written to Ofqual on this subject and Ofqual has responded, welcoming the news that exams will go ahead and supporting the revised timetable.
