Government Funding Announced to Boost Digital Technologies

The government has announced £29 million funding for research projects for new technologies to boost online privacy, tackle disinformation and increase wellbeing and for a new online safety research centre of excellence. The initiatives are an investment by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and include projects to test how immersive technology can improve people’s education and explore how the Internet of Things can benefit people’s lives and improve their wellbeing.
