The government has announced some of the recipients of the funding announced in June through Innovate UK’s Sustainable innovation Fund. Over 1000 clean growth projects are being funded to help develop new technologies, secure and create new jobs, drive productivity and tackle climate change.
It has also announced that 31 projects are receiving a portion of £10 million from the government’s Automotive Transformation Fund to support to the development of low carbon emission technologies for vehicles, such as state-of-the-art motors and high-performing batteries for electric vehicles.
Government ministers have been meeting Local Enterprise Partnerships and businesses around the country to discuss their ideas on delivering a green recovery.
