The government has announced that all secondary schools and colleges in England will be able to test more of their staff and students in a round of free coronavirus testing from the first week of January. This follows the announcement that every secondary school and college in England will have access to rapid testing from January. The DfE has said that guidance, training materials and webinars will shortly be made available to secondary schools and colleges so they can start to use the new testing capacity as soon as possible. The DfE has published guidance for FE providers on the return in January 2021.
