The C2C LEP has recently introduced board champion roles within their Skills 360 Board. A key element of these sector-focused roles is the introduction of sector spotlights. This involves a presentation to the Board of an overview of the specific sector, followed by a deep dive into the employment and skills challenges and opportunities in that sector culminating in a set of recommendations for the Skills 360 Board. It has started with the Construction sector. Their Construction Champions gave a presentation at the last Skills Advisory Panel meeting in November which can be viewed here.
