Budget to Include Boost to Traineeships and Apprenticeship Incentives

The Chancellor is set to announce his budget on 3 March. The budget is reportedly set to include a £126 million boost for traineeships to create another 40,000 places. He is also set to increase the employer incentive for recruiting apprentices to £3000 per apprentice (regardless of age) and to extend the claiming period from March until September 2021. The Chancellor will also announce grants to help non-essential retailers and hospitality and leisure sector businesses reopen.
