The Flexible Support Fund (FSF) is a fund offered by local jobcentres at the discretion of Jobcentre Plus work coaches to support people back into work. This includes supporting people with technology when looking for work and accessing training, and being available for virtual interview. Support could include laptops and tablets. If a claimant didn’t have a phone and couldn’t afford one and this was a barrier to them seeking work, they may also consider helping with a data package in the first month, if that was appropriate. Each application is looked at on a case by case basis as to what the need was for that individual customer.
