The Government has announced further funding to help tackle the HGV driver shortage. As previously announced in its Prior Information Notice, a tender was been launched to recruit suppliers for a new heavy goods vehicle driver bootcamps. The budget for the skills bootcamps has been increased to £17 million and may be increased further. The 16-week HGV driver bootcamps will start from December 6.
