The ‘Moving on up!’ scheme supports East Sussex residents, living in supported and temporary accommodation, to secure an apprenticeship or employment, and permanent housing. Employers participating in the scheme can claim a £4,000 employer incentive and receive impartial guidance and support to take on an apprentice or employee and apply for incentives. They will also be allocated a supported apprenticeship mentor for them and their apprentice. SME employers can also access free impartial information and skills support through the Transform programme service, which could help them access funding to cover apprenticeship training costs.
