Mental Health Awareness Week 2023

Mental Health Awareness Week (15 to 21 May) is fast approaching and the theme for this year is anxiety. Mental Health Foundation did a poll and anxiety was the number one mental health issue that people have said they want to focus on. This Mental Health Awareness Week, Mental Health Foundation will be releasing data, updated advice and a range of online assets and resources aimed at both empowering people to manage feelings of anxiety and driving change towards a mentally-healthy society. Here are some of the ways to get involved in the week:

  • Help other people feel less alone by sharing your personal experiences of anxiety. Share your story on social media with the hashtags #ToHelpMyAnxiety and #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek.
  • Use Mental Health Foundation’s social media guide with suggested posts and graphics to spread the word about the week.
  • Check out tips on ways to manage anxiety. These evidence-based recommendations are things we can all do to help cope with feelings of anxiety.
  • Use their resources to hold events in your workplace, school or community during the week.
  • Support fundraising efforts during the week.
