18 Apprenticeship Standards Paused for Having No Approved End-Point Assessment Organisation

The government has paused starts on 18 of the 78 apprenticeships that have no approved end-point assessment organisation. Banners have been placed on the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education’s web page for each standard the new rule applies to, which are mostly unused apprenticeships with ‘no apprentices currently on programme’ for those that are subject to the pause. However, Department for Education data shows there were 10 starts in the first three quarters of 2022/23, on two of the standards in the list of the 18. It is also not clear why the institute has not paused starts on all apprenticeships that do not have an EPAO in place as of yet. Click here for more.
