Analysing Spring Budget 2024: What’s in Store for Workplaces?

Experts have had concerns that the spring budget did not go ‘far enough’ in supporting workers and workplace issues. The government recently announced in the Spring Budget, further cuts to national insurance contributions, changes to pension funds and reforms to child benefits. However, Ben Willmott, head of public policy for the CIPD, said the budget “sorely lacked” a broad economic strategy to improve living standards and boost productivity: “There is a real and urgent need for a workforce plan for the UK to raise employer investment in skills and support workers’ wellbeing and participation in the labour market.” Click here for more from People Management.
