ETF are hosting the next online National Safeguarding Forum: The importance of trauma-aware, anti-racist and restorative practices in the Education and Training sector. Taking place on Thursday 28 March (12pm 1.30pm), this forum is free to attend and open to everyone working in the Further Education and Skills sector. In the 90 minute session, Polly Harrow will consider how a trauma-informed approach is key to supporting the mental wellbeing of adolescent learners, with a particular focus on three essential pillars to a trauma-informed approach: anti-racism, restorative practice and intentional inclusion. The session will be helpful for those with safeguarding responsibilities wishing to understand how to promote better mental health for learners and what this looks like in practice.
