This report, published by the Government Office for Science, brings together evidence about skills and lifelong learning, discussing the barriers and the implications for the UK. This evidence will help government to develop the policies needed to adapt to a changing workforce. With a foreword by Skills Minister Anne Milton the reports sets out some of the challenges the UK faces if it wants to keep benefiting from better skills with both literacy and numeracy improvements needed as well as matching the right skills with the right jobs.
