SLN:COP Innovation Fund Celebration & Future Funding Opportunities

by | 0 comments

The Sussex Learning Network (SLN) is holding a symposium to celebrate and share the work of their Collaborative Outreach Programme Innovation Fund. The Innovation Fund was designed as a new approach in developing partnerships between educational and community organisations to explore some of the challenges experienced by young people as they consider their futures and make their choices.  Eight projects were funded, running between February and September 2018. Details of the projects are here.

The symposium will be a mixture of presentations and networking. The event will also be used to launch the new round of innovation funding of applications for up to a maximum of £7,000 per project in the following priority areas: BAME, children in care, ESOL, LGBTQ, parental engagement, pupil attendance, refugees and asylum seekers, service children and SEN.  Applications will be welcomed from partnerships between educational and community organisations. Further details about the fund will be available after the symposium on their website.  The event is on 18 October at the University of Sussex, 15:00 – 19:00. To register your interest to attend, contact M.Bortagaray@brighton.ac.uk by 27 September.
