Members gathered at Aspire Sussex in Burgess Hill on Wednesday to look at the key issues and opportunities for providers. Members shared details of their own provision, issues and opportunities. The main subjects covered were: apprenticeship reforms and the impact on provider delivery levels and employer demand; impact on local authority funding cuts on delivery of social and community provision; social mobility and the importance of access to a ladder of opportunity; looking ahead to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (replacing European funding post-Brexit) and ideas for projects that would support SCTP members, promote collaboration and innovate provision.
The next meeting will be on the 16th January, venue and timings to be confirmed.
