IfATE Tendering for External Quality Assurance Organisation

by | 0 comments

The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) has launched a tender for an organisation to provide quality assurance for apprenticeships assessment on its behalf. The IfATE is the nominated External Quality Assurance (EQA) provider for 191 of 345 approved standards and doesn’t currently charge end point assessment organisations (EPAO) for the service. FE Week report that the tender documents suggest they will now move to a system of invoicing EPAOs for EQA, and then paying their new contractor. Information about the tendering process can be found here.
