Technology, including most recently the rise of gen AI, along with other factors, will spur changes in the pattern of labor demand through 2030. The study, which uses an updated version of the McKinsey Global Institute future of work model, seeks to quantify the occupational transitions that will be required and the changing nature of demand for different types of jobs and skills.
