The DfE has updated its FE operational guidance for FE and skills providers on what to do during the COVID-19 outbreak to maintain provision, by updating the guidance on the appropriate use of face coverings outside of the teaching and learning environment, safe behaviour off-site, residential providers and managing national and local restrictions, and updating the information for clinically extremely vulnerable staff and students. It has updated its ‘providing apprenticeships during COVID-19’ guidance with the information about managing national and local restrictions also. This guidance makes it clear that apprenticeship training and assessment can continue to be delivered under national restrictions and all local restriction tiers.
