AELP CEO, Mark Dawe, writing in this week’s Countdown newsletter committed AELP to supporting the latest Trailblazer Group in its efforts to gain approval for a Business Admin Level 2 Standard. He said ‘Business Admin, level 2, is the next level 2 battleground. Apparently, there’s not enough in it to justify it being an apprenticeship. All is not lost here, but it is a battle. I am committing AELP to be actively engaged with this trailblazer bringing the expertise of our employers, providers and EPAOs (and anyone else) along to ensure that this gets over the line. It is vital for employers, productivity, social mobility, and the consequences of Brexit. I have never heard so much twaddle when I hear people say it isn’t a proper apprenticeship – step out into the real world please!!!’.
