The Department for Education has updated the apprenticeships and traineeships statistics published in March to include the latest monthly starts figures covering August 2019 to February 2020, based on the latest available ILR data. The data shows that apprenticeship starts have decreased by 7.6% to 236,800 from 256,300 in 2018/19. Comment from Minister Apprenticeships and Skills, Gillian Keegan, on the release can be read here.
