A new support network for apprentices called the Association of Apprentices has been founded by the government’s apprenticeship ambassador Jason Holt. The website says it is a “membership organisation for apprentices that will provide support, information and guidance beyond what you may receive from your employer and/or training provider”. The organisation will be led by a Council of current and recent apprentices. The founders hope the association will help providers and employers to retain apprentices.
