This article provides a useful overview of what the Budget and Spending Review announced which affects the FE and skills sector. The Chancellor announced an increase in apprenticeship funding, further funding for T Levels, skills capital investment and further funding to aid education recovery. Further comments regarding skills investment in the Budget and Spending review are available in this article, which highlights the Institute of Fiscal Studies analysis, which states that “Spending per student in FE and sixth form colleges will remain well below 2010 levels”.
