Call for the Hairdressing Industry to Collaborate for Effective Representation

The Hair and Barber Council has criticised the Government’s recent decision to cut funding for hairdressing apprenticeship training by 20%. Hair and Barber Council CEO (and former SCTP Chair), Keith Conniford has described the decision as yet another example of the industry being undervalued and of the need for regulation. He stated that the best way to make the Government aware of the professionalism of hairdressing and barbering is to unite under the banner of a regulated industry through state registration.
