The CIPD is urging businesses to ensure they meet three key tests before bringing employees back to the workplace – is it essential, is it sufficiently safe and is it mutually agreed? They have recently surveyed more than 1000 workers and found a lack of consultation with employees, meaning that many returns to work have not been mutually agreed and workers’ concerns about health and safety have not been addressed.
