The DfE and Ofqual have launched consultations on the approach to awarding GCSE, AS and A level grades and general and vocational qualifications in 2021 following the cancellation of exams. They want to hear views on their proposals that a student’s grade in a subject will be based on their teacher’s assessment of the standard at which they are performing. The consultations both close on 29 January. There is one consultation on VTQs and other general qualifications and one for GCSE, AS and A levels.
