The Department for Education has launched a consultation on proposed changes to the statutory guidance Keeping children safe in education 2021 with a view to making changes for September 2022. The guidance sets out what schools and colleges should do and the legal duties with which they must comply to keep children safe. The consultation closes on 8 March 2022. This article highlights some of the proposed revisions to the guidance which could affect how education settings operate.
