The DfE is changing its recruitment approach to support the take-up of new apprenticeships. Is has announced that it will run a three month trial to December 2020 where all their junior roles at executive assistant and executive officer level within the DfE and the ESFA, will be filled using apprenticeships. After the trial period they will review the effectiveness before deciding what to do next. It has said that it is also exploring the development of a DfE traineeship.
