The government is working to encourage organisations across different sectors which are open during lockdown and where employees cannot work from home, from transport networks to food manufacturers, to sign up to rapid testing programmes that identify cases of COVID-19 in employees who are not showing symptoms to help stop its spread. The government has now widened the criteria for joining the workplace rapid testing programme from businesses with more than 250 employees, to businesses with more than 50 employees.
