Education Committee Report on Disadvantaged White Working Class Pupils

by | 0 comments

The Education Select Committee has published its report from its inquiry into the educational underachievement of White working-class pupils. This BBC article examines some of the conclusions from the report and comments following its publication. One factor discussed in the report is some schools failure to comply with the Baker clause and allowing training providers to access their pupils. The report recommends that these schools should be limited in what Ofsted grade they can achieve. Ofsted has now commented that “inspectors will always report where schools fall short of the requirements of the Baker Clause, as well as considering how it affects a school’s grade.”
