The essential digital skills framework has been designed to support providers, organisations and employers across the UK who offer training for adults to secure their essential digital skills. The framework sets out five categories of essential digital skills for life and work as communicating, handling information and content, transacting, problem solving and being safe and legal online.
In April the DfE launched a new website, The Skills Toolkit, giving people access to a variety of free, high-quality digital and numeracy courses to help build up their skills, progress in work and boost their job prospects.
