ETF Launches New Professional Development Programme

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has launched a new programme to promote practitioner-led, collaborative professional development across the FE and training sector. The ETF says ‘Practice Development Groups (PDGs) will facilitate groups of practitioners working in action learning sets on short-term, small-scale projects to improve an aspect of their teaching, learning and assessment over a four-month period.’ There will be two opportunities to take part in the PDGs during the academic year, the first beginning in October and the second in January. They will be expected to focus on enhancing the delivery of English or embedding maths or English into other programmes of study as part of the programme. Further details about the PDGs is here and an application form to join the South East Practice Development Group can be accessed here.
