Meanwhile, it has been reported that Ofsted has received the full £5.4M it requested from the DfE to cover the cost of inspecting all new apprenticeship providers. Also, it is reported that poorly performing new apprenticeship providers will now only be prevented from taking on new starts for up to a year – not three, as Ofsted had previously said.
