The Further Education Trust for Leadership (FETL) has published a new report entitled ‘Skills for Life: A New Strategy for English, Maths, ESOL and Digital’. The report considers the lessons to be learned from the Skills for Life strategy and asks how the next generation of policymakers might build on it to enable England to rise to the challenge of poor adult basic skills. It presents recommendations to guide the next phase of policy development in 2021–2031.
