The DfE’s guidance for FE and skills providers has been updated guidance to provide further information to plan for wider opening, including clarification on the total proportion of learners from eligible cohorts that should be in education settings at any one time. The updated guidance follows the DfE’s confirmation that from 15 June secondary schools will start to provide some face-to-face contact time for students in years 10 and 12, which includes first year college learners, who are equivalent to year 12s in schools, on all two-year vocational study programmes, GCSEs and A-levels, as well as apprentices. An overview of the updated guidance from FE Week can be read here.
