by | 0 comments

The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) has announced that flexibilities for the training and assessment of apprentices introduced to support through COVID-19 will continue to run until the end of 2021. They have stated that ‘Many of the flexibilities (which apply to all apprenticeships) will be retained as permanent amendments, where it is clear they represent an improvement on the arrangements which were in place before Covid-19’. The seven flexibilities which are going to be retained permanently include assessment gateway sign off being done remotely; simulated environments being used instead of observation in workplaces and remote delivery of assessment (including invigilation).
