The Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) has published an analysis of vacancy data, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. Their findings show that whilst vacancies are above pre-pandemic levels, the surge of vacancies is in low-paid occupations, and that competition for jobs is still higher than pre-pandemic for most jobseekers.
